Lag was commissioned by the Brooklyn-based ensemble Exceptet in the Winter and Spring of 2015 for their first season. Lag comes from me wanting complete control over something - wanting the players to not really be humans, or not really have any individual qualities to their sounds, but for each instrument to be oscillators in a large, chamber-music synthesizer. |
